The roadlike reflection of moonlight on water.

my existence is in your benevolence.

the turbulence i comprise of and

the calm i pretend.

my gentle amore, your attraction

has never been bliss for me, and yet,

my existence is in your benevolence.

your efforts to get close

to my blue bosom go futile,

though you are the man,

the man with a hare

painted on your bare chest.

lately our affair has been

the talk of the town

and my beloved father might

look down on our love with a frown,

for he doesn’t understand that

my existence is in your benevolence.

but i know, every time  amphitrite sings her song forlorn

my love for you my chéri, is reborn.

i beg you to guide those brave sailors

who dare to cross me

with your heavenly halo.

the moment we meet might

only fall on the night

when hyacinths bloom in winter,

but i vow

to watch over the quills of every poet

who praises the legend of our love.

Our Trip to Wayanad

By Balagopan and Adithya.M

Wayanad is a hill station in Kerala, which attracts a large number of local as well as foreign tourists. The chilling climate in Wayanad with its marvellous natural beauty makes it one of the best tourist attractions in God’s own Country and called as the green paradise of Kerala. Some of the major tourist attractions in Wayanad are Edakkal Caves, Chembra Peak, Lakkidi View Point, Kuruvadweep and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. We were on a budget trip and also wasn’t in a hurry to visit all the locations.

Our Trip to Wayanad

We reached Wayanad in the evening. It was already getting dark, much sooner than other parts of Kerala. We stopped at Lakkidi Viewpoint, which is the gateway of Wayanad. Nearly 300 people were relaxing and enjoying the beauty of nature. We parked our bike on the side of the road where several other cars and bikes were parked. There was no proper parking area, so it was a bit dangerous to park the bike on the side of the road without much lighting. So we parked our bikes with putting on the parking lights so that  the vehicles approaching can identify our bikes and thus make it safe We were amazed to see the scenery from there. It was pretty dark and the view of fog rising from the valleys to the top of the hills was an experience to remember forever. Everyone was busy clicking photos of the raising fog but I saw most people were complaining they couldn’t catch any proper pictures in the camera since the fog was covering all the views in the already dark valleys.

My friend didn’t want to leave the viewpoint but we had to move on. We didn’t have any reservation for the hotel, so we had to drive around and find a place to stay. The first hotel we noticed was Hotel Pepper Wayanad Gate, which is along the highway itself just 2 kilometres from the viewpoint. Even though we had seen good reviews of Pepper Wayanad Gate, we decided to skip it since it was beyond our budget. We reached Kalpetta, which is a small town but still active in the night. There were many hotels and we found one small hotel, which is close to the main junction and looked matching our budget. We walked into the reception and asked for a room. The guy in the reception stared at me as if I have come asking for a free room but showed me a few options. We took a double bed non-A/c room on the third floor. I was wondering who would need an A/c room in the chilling weather there. One good thing about such budget hotels is, they don’t charge anything extra for the rooms with good views. After all, most people coming into such hotels just need room to sleep at the best price and they don’t care for the views from the room. But we were lucky to get a room overlooking the hills. We opened the window and the view of mountains and valleys at far was really amazing.

We planned a trip of three days but later extended for one more day as we couldn’t cover all the places It was a fabulous trip and we enjoyed a lot. After several hours of driving, we both were tired and decided to sleep early after a quick dinner in the “thattukada” (country style restaurant) next to the hotel. Maybe because we were too hungry, the dosa and chutney tasted like the best food I have ever eaten! We had a chat with the hotel guy about the places to visit in Wayanad, other than the places we had already visited. He told about a list of activities to do in Wayanad including trekking, hiking, off road riding, camping and rafting. Also, gave the contact number of a company who arranges such activities for the tourists. We promised to come back to do all activities we missed doing this time and decided to try the bamboo rafting the next time which is a great experience as many told us about their rafting experience. We would definitely try rafting next time.

EDAKKAL CAVES

By Akshara and Sree Lekshmi J

Places have always fascinated mankind. Travelling and exploring new realms of freedom has added beauty and tranquility to human experiences. From the  time of antiquity men loved jaunts and it was more-often a time for them to be free from their busy schedules of life. Different places have different stories to tell .The vibe and ambience provided by places vary from one to another .Travelling actually matures a man it is always exciting and fascinating to be around new set of completely different people ,custom and culture.

It was a very pleasant experience to be at the two Natural caves of Wayanad district-Edakkal Caves. The caves are situated 1200m above sea level on Ambukuttu Mala in the Western Ghats. The name ‘Edakkal’ literally means ‘a stone in between .Here one can actually witness a cave formed by a heavy boulder straddling a fissure in a rock. This cave is famous for its pictorial cave paintings. The guide told us that this place is believed to be the habitat of Neolithic men.

The very site of the place astonished me. These caves show us the nature’s skill in architecture. The place offers a combination of beauty, adventure and trecking. Edakkal caves is the only place in India with cravings dated back to stone age. There is a long way to walk to the cave from the parking area. We had to climb enormous no of steps to reach the top. First it seemed a bit challenging. The view from the top was worth enough for a life time joy. It was a stepping in to the bygone era. The monkeys at the hills were busy enjoying and posing at the tourists camera. On the way there were several bamboo benches to relax. The stairs were also carved out of stones. The cold wind blew away all the tiredness of the journey. There are many stories existing behind the formation of the caves. This place has drawn great attention for the tourists, archaeologists and historians. The inscriptions and drawings on the rock show cased the talents of the ancient people. It is a best place to get in touch with nature. There was an iron railing to protect the stone cravings. Even photography was prohibited due to some reason. The trip was both thrilling and informative. In a trip to wayanad edakkal caves is a place worth visiting.

Explore Alleppey

By  Theerdha G pillai and Krishnaveni U.R

The place of honest and straightforward people whose regional language is Malayalam. The district Alappuzha of Kerala is known for its backwater. Today it’s known as  “Alleppey backwater” which attracts thousands of tourists. Lord Curzon named Alappuzha as “the Venice of the East”. The foodie world of karimeen and mutton biryani and many more spiciness opens in Alappuzha. Recently, the flood and droughts mainly affected in the district  as it is covered by backwater. Therefore, Alappuzha peoples are generally  hardworking and gone through many survival aspects. The district shows a moderately warm climate in general.

Let’s get into a little background before the exciting journey. The story behind the name “the Venice of the East” is interesting in the late 19th century when Lord Curzon the viceroy of the Indian empire made a visit to the state Alleppey (earlier). He is fascinated by the conjoined beauty of the coconut plains and the backwaters. He exclaimed:

“Here nature has spent upon the land richest bounties”

“Alleppey the Venice of the east!”

Alappuzha is well known for its trade relations during the middle ages with Greece and Rome.

The early Chiras, who had their home in Kuttanad  were called Kuttuans , named after this place. The district is also known for the archaeological antiquities such as stone inscripts, monument temples, churches, rock, cut caves etc. Religions and cultures flourished under the 2nd chera empire. And also played a role in the freedom struggle of the country “punnapara and vayalar”in 1946 against the Congress ministry thus gave a strong birth for the Communist party too!.

*A little background check is good for   enjoying the trip to its fullest.

So, let’s start the next half of this Travelogue.

There are even new restaurant recently serving meals at Rs. 25 at Mannancherry by the state Government. An interesting fact is that Alappuzha now has more than five hotels including one serving free food four times daily. Talking about the places, the tourists review show’s the shops like Gafoor store which is a place for chilling snack time, the Cafe Catamaran- gives another impression of Alappuzha, the Pulickattil-the handicraft shop, the Ambalappuzha temple which is a great sight of Alappuzha tradition which are some examples of the people’s choices. It is a must to watch the boat racing or at least to get the ride of House boating of Alappuzha, if you are currently in the destination or seeking for Alappuzha as a visiting point.

The story of Nehru escorted in a huge snake boat given a boost up for boat racing for the people hence on 1st July 1969 the trophy of boat racing is renamed as “Nehru trophy”. The race gives the spirit and refreshment of Alappuzha just like the Alleppey beach, which is our next important spot. The beach is not a place of swimming because the current is very strong and the water is very deeper. But still, don’t miss the sight. There are mainly two main Indian Coffee Houses, one in the centre (Mullackal Road) and another at Alleppey beach. They serves the cheap, tasty and intact the original south Indian food, ice-cream and their signature Coffee which can match up a perfect evening vibe.

From the land of Cashews to the city of Nizam

By Sandra Vasanth and Safa Salim

Hyderabad-the pearl City of India has its own place in my heart since childhood. I don’t know the exact reason for that though. Maybe it is because of the mesmerizing movie scenes depicted from there ?

Somehow I happened to know about the Ramoji film city. So to me, Hyderabad was merely Ramoji. So with much hurdles and pleadings, Appa finally agreed to take us there.

There was a very good welcome in the Rajiv Gandhi airport. But the excitement soon had a dull phase. The place welcomed us with its unbearable heat and hot winds stabbing directly to our face. We waited there till our Uber arrived. The first thing I would appreciate in Hyderabad is it’s clean, smooth roads. Despite the roads that bursts at the seams in Kerala, Hyderabad roads deserved much appreciation. The Uber stopped before Amrita castle. After the security check,we were allotted our rooms. If there is a heaven on earth ,I would like to call the room no 503 of Amrita castle as one(The AC which was used rarely when guest arrived there in home was now pathetically recalled). The Stay was itself another wonder. The resort occupied room in tunnels and we called it “tunnel of fireflies”.

Wherever you go,you will find a Malayali there. We too found one-Johnson uncle,a name we used to hear ever since the trip was planned. Uncle took us to the heart of the coral city. The city took us back to a time when beauty and craftsmanship went hand in hand.Uncle just like a guide, was talking about Hyderabad continuously about its History and Geology. In fact there was a lot to talk about his 36 years of experience in the city.

Numberless bangles, clothes, streetfood, colours, waved their palms at us. Various “akka, akka” resonated in our senses. We pretended to neglect all these considering our wallet and we gathered the courage to walk forward regardless of these attractions. Amma was thoroughly missed during all these times.     Whenever Hyderabad strikes in anyone’s mind,it would be Charminar! This is considered as the centre base of the city, built around 1591. Some people say there’s an underground tunnel connecting Golkonda fort to Charminar, possibly intended as an escape route for the Qutub shahi rulers.

Golkonda fort-An outstanding example for brilliant engineering and magical architecture.

Infact the stunt scenes of “Aadhi” the malayalalm movie, are shot from here.     Salar-Jung museums:One of the three National Museums of India.Endowed to the nation after the death of Salar Jung.

HITEC city-Hyderabad information technology and engineering consultancy city abbreviated as HITEC CITY.

Snow world- A paradise founded for the unbearable heat outside, this is how I would like to define the creation. Falling in white flakes, absolutely phenomenal dusting of snow, blanket of snow and music played in between takes everyone in euphoric feel.

Altogether,a Paisa-Wasul experience.

RAMOJI FILM CITY-A magical realm filled with excitement and wonderful surprises at every turn.
As the world’s largest integrated film city and India’s only thematic holiday destination with magic of cinema.
It leaves all the visitors with some memorable experiences. To help u from sunburn, the medical team before kickstarting the journey provide you with pills to withstand the unbearable heat(Imagine the climate there!).     Overall a must visit place and should not be missed if one goes to Hyderabad.

PS: Not spoiling the thrill by giving more details.Go enjoy the fantasy land all by yourself.

Birla Mandir,Qutub shahi tombs,Necklace road,Lumbini park are other attractions here.
Well, the place has everything which a person wants.

You have good place to chill, you have great places to explore, you have water parks, great restaurants, some lakes here and there.

Well,if you are a night owl, this place will cover you up.

You have good places to eat even if it is midnight. Some good stretches of roads to drive on.Then for the food lovers, the place is a heaven, you just need to know where to go.Some of the must eat things if you are going to Hyderabad are:the famous bawarchi biriyani, kurbani ka meetha, the haleem you could grab during ramzan, irani tea, famous icecream etc.

Gokul chat in koti, dhai puri and dhai pappdi are must try.

Another spot for foodjoints is sindhi colony near paradise. The dosa centres which opens between 2am and 5am to soothe your tastebuds. And if I continue more, I will run out of space telling about the place.

Despite the beauty the place offers, traffic and pollution are very bad here.Terrible autowalah baiiyas who honk, drivers who drive on wrong side-because of the median they argue, lack of civic sense in general,I might be stretching out on a limb here when I say this and even offend a few but it’s the bitter truth.

All these being said, I still believe Hyderabad as one of the most hospitable cities to live notbwithstanding the recent telungana agitations, where people from different   religions and states who speaks differet languages live in harmony.

DOES BULLYING LEADS TO SELF-SLAUGHTER?

By Mishel Joseph and Gowri US

Bullying is an aggressive action that has a wide line of horrible consequences . The increase in this action may increase risk of mental health issues and even suicide.

But does bulling actually causes suicide is a confusing question.

Bulling  has become an increasingly worrisome health concern, especially involving youth,as bulling may have lasting effects such as psychological distress that can lead to suicidal intentions. The act not only includes physical violence but also aggression such a as verbal harassment, social exclusion, and cyber targeting  etc. The stories today, focusing on suicide of young children and teenager  can influence our minds and make us believe that there must be a relationship between bulling and suicide. Twenty-eight percent of young people from grades six through 12 have been the victim of bullying.People usually think of bullying as taking place between children at school. However, it can also occur at work and include aggressive behaviors like verbal abuse, sabotaging the victim’s job or work relationship, or misusing authority.

Adult bullies who engage in these behaviors are males 60% of the time. While men who bully tend to victimize both genders equally, women bullies target other women about 80% of the time.School children is mainly involving in this action much more than any other age group which further might lead to suicide .

Bulling and Suicide related behavior are both complex public health problems.Bulling is a punishable offence which cannot Even get a bail.  Minors are sent to juvenile homes and adults are punished in jails for several years.

ROLE OF MEDIA IN INFLUENCING VIOLENCE

By Sreya R. Nair and Karishma Ravi

Whenever you wish to hear a song, watch your favorite shows, or want to know the current affairs, you just turn on your television, mobile phones or laptops – which all comes under the term ‘Mass Media’. Mass media always intends to reach a mass audience. The revolution in the development of mass media is one of the most notable change in the 20th century. Social medias have accumulated a central role in our daily lives, our values, beliefs, and behaviors. But, one of the major threat social media pose to humanity is the increase in real world violence and aggression..

When a child is growing up in an environment filled with violence, it always sets a long-term impact on the mind of the child and increases the risk of violent behavior. Similarly, research evidences accumulated over many years show that exposure to violence in films and video games can also increase the risk of violent behavior on children as well as adults. Children are the prime victim of this issue. Most youth who are aggressive or antisocial in some forms may not have been violent as kids or teens. But researches show that aggressive children are likely to grow up to be aggressive adults. Thus, exposure of children to media violence can ultimately lead to violent behavior many years later.

In earlier days media violence was portrayed like- how human behavior causes sufferings, losses and sadness to himself as the real costs and consequences of violence. Hence the mature adolescent viewers were able to learn the danger and harm of violence by virtually experiencing its outcome. But entertainments now-a-days uses immediate thrills without any human costs. And now the visuals are also more violent and violence is portrayed more realistically. Sexual and comic violence are most dangerous because they associate positive feelings with hurting others.

Showing violent behaviors, prevalence of violence in the world and perception of world as a dangerous place incorporates the fear of being the victim in the mind of the spectators. They start to carry weapon, initially, for self-protection but gradually, they become more aggressive and think more like- “get them before they get me”. Any sort of exposure to media violence can lead to anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, sleep disturbance or nightmares and social isolation.

Internet and video games have even greater potential to increase aggressive behavior in people. In the case of video games, the child is completely engrossed into the game and use of joystick enhances the experience and the aggressive feelings. It is very true that children learn best by observing and trying it. Violent media teaches specific violent behaviors at specific circumstances, so children learn this and it gets saved in their memory bank. Rather than playing the role of a mere spectator in television or in video games, the player becomes the script writer.

Although exposure to media violence is not the sole factor contributing to aggression, antisocial attitudes, and violence among children and adolescents, it is an important health risk factor on which immediate action is required. We cannot prevent media from creating such videos hence what should be done to prevent this should be done by us as parents, psychiatrists, brothers and sisters etc.

TRANSNATIONAL MARRIAGES

By Aishwarya Vasanth & Soma Dutta

In today’s world, Globalizing is leading the greater ship, and is not intending to stop, ever. In such a place, Trans- National Marriage, a direct product of globalization, is not something uncommon. So basically, trans national marriage is when people from two different countries decide to get married! This sort of marriage evolves out of various different reasons! Some of them are individual and some are business purpose.
Love, is of course one of the major reasons for cross- country marriages!
A person visiting the host country simply falls in love with the other person, with the culture of that place. Along with these, a simple attraction towards foreign lands also encourages this sort of marriage, which can be seen in the case of those who love to travel and discover places of their taste!
Not only that, regard or deep feeling for a certain cultural and religious practice can also be the reason!
Besides this, of course there are business reasons. There come various reasons under this one.
In order to get a permanent citizenship for a desired job or anything else, marrying a citizen of that country proves to be a solution in many cases. We can see this in the movie “The Proposal”, in which, when New York editor Margaret (Sandra Bullock) faces deportation to Canada, she convinces her assistant Andrew(Ryan Reynolds) to marry her in return for a promotion.
Then we have business-deal marriages or political marriages, where a marriage between two families shows the partnership between the two companies.
Sounds primitive, right? This was there during the ancient times also, where the king would marry off his daughter to the neighboring kingdom in order to maintain a healthy relation between the provinces.
For instance, to establish a healthy political tie between the Mughals and Rajputanas, Mariam-uz-Zamani, a born Hindu-Rajput princess was offered in marriage to Akbar by her father, Raja Bharmal of Amber in the year of 1562.

Now, like every other thing, a trans-national marriage too has both pros and cons. Well, mostly, it depends upon the person’s perspective, how they take it. But let’s list down all the possible merits and demerits.

MERITS

When two people with completely different backgrounds are tied down together, a diffusion takes places. Ideologies from one set of culture mixes up with the other set, thus eventually, diversifying their mind! Cultural diffusion is why many cultures around the world share similarities.

Because of the diversification, it also polishes each other for a better shine!

Few practices of Culture A might not be right for the society, and that’s where culture B comes into play. Thus diffusion of two different culture can possibly bring the best out of them, and rinse away the unnecessary matters.

Though it is not an outcome of cross-country marriage, but because of colonization only, the practice of child marriage and ‘Sati Pratham’, which prevailed in the Hindu customs, was abolished, thus opening bigger opportunities for all the girls.

This also reduces the chances of social discrimination for the future generation.
Not only this, the mind also becomes more flexible, thus making space for newer opportunities. People learn how to live with and manage different situations of life! A combination of two different sets of minds can lead to beautiful things!

DEMERITS

Even though diffusion is good, but what about the next generation? Which culture do they follow? That’s a point to think about! Suppose an Indian and an American are married, should their kid bow down and greet elders or should they hug and handshake with elders? Should they focus more onto the society or should they give more attention to the individual aspect?

Though this might not be applicable for all the cases, but they are not to be neglected also!
Along with this, what about the roots or the origin? They belong to which roots?
Because of trans- national marriage there is also a chance that people might lose their originality. Everything will be just a mix up.

On one hand two different cultures can polish each other, but on the other hand it can also lead to a clash. Being habituated to our native practices, it is very difficult to suddenly accept dissimilar habits.

And at times this can lead to a clash between partners.
A very typical, yet cliché example- Suppose a western girl marries an Indian boy. Generally, as seen in most of the cases in India, the whole family gets too much involved in the marital life of the individuals. As this is quite different from the western culture, the girl might feel crowded with the constant involvement of family and relatives and this might lead to a fight between the married couple.

Thus, the clashing of cultures can create serious issues!

But whatever might be the demerits, this practice is quite popular in today’s time. To be honest, it solely depends on the individual how they deal with the issues. There are two options, either you give up, or you fight!
However, isn’t this an interesting concept? Growing up in a certain environment, and whoosh! Suddenly you are in a different world!

P.S : As two different minds have written this article, we decided to add our own opinions about the concept of ‘Trans- National Marriage’

Aishwarya Vasanth– “I am not in support of Trans- National Marriages. Let’s consider the case of our country. India is still a developing country that has not achieved the heights of development yet. During this time, emigration of our people to another country is like losing an asset, something we can’t afford right now. From my opinion, Trans- National Marriage is not necessary.”

Soma Dutta– “I believe that Trans- National Marriage is a beautiful concept. Right now, we need to transcend the concept of ‘this is mine, that is yours’. Through this only we’ll come to understand the needs of each other. Trans- National Marriage is a step toward it. When two people from different countries marry, they realize that they are filled with so many prejudices. So, through this way we are actually sweeping out all the stereotype thoughts which all of us have, thus making the world a better place, in a way.”

The three R principle

By Ashika S Kumar and Arundathi M.

In the present world waste has become one of the biggest problems affecting each and every part of our environment. Anyway we cannot completely avoid waste production, but what we can do is to take self precaution and thereby reducing the amount of waste produced.

When we first hear the word Waste hierarchy many questions may arise in our mind like, What is its purpose ? What it really means ? What is the need for it ? and so on.
Actually it is a part of waste management process and is used to reduce the amount of waste. It mainly involves three processes: Reduce,Reuse and Recycle.

They are known as the three R’s of waste management process. These are essential for a sustainable living as they help as to reduce the amount of waste we have to throw away. The ideas behind three R’s are really simple:

Reduce: To reduce the amount of waste we produce.

Reuse: To reuse the items before replacing them.

Recycle: To recycle the items which can be recycled.

When we take a deep look into each of the process we may feel it is so easy, but it does not seem so easy when we start to follow it in our life.

1. REDUCE :

The first R is all about reduction in the amount of waste we produce. Reduction is the main among the three as, if the amount of waste produced is less, the things to be reused and recycled will be automatically reduced. Some methods we can adopt in our life to reduce wastes are:

¤ Buy only necessary things.

¤ While buying a product rethink the fact whether it can be reused and recycled.

¤ Try to avoid buying food materials having too much of packing.

¤ If possible completely avoid the use of plastic.

¤ Reduce the use of electricity, For eg: Lights should not be used during day time.

¤ Reduce the amount of petrol by using public transport systems.

¤ Reduce the wastage of food by making only the sufficient amount of food and the rest can be used in compost making.

¤ Shopping can be reduced by buying things which are durable and long lasting.

¤ Shopping of new clothes can be reduced by using the old clothes by mending them.

¤ Using second hand goods is also one of the method to reduce the waste.

2. REUSE :

Reuse simply refers to using the same thing again and again for different purposes. It refers to the reuse of object as it is without treatment. It is a sustainable process as it reduce pollution and waste.
Reusing is better than recycling because it saves the energy which is used to dismantle and re-manufacture products. It also saves the forest and water supplies as it reduces the need for raw materials. Examples of reused items include anything bought as second-hand including furnitures and clothing.

Here are some methods to practice reuse in our daily life :

® We should make sure that we are not buying things unnecessarily until the one wit us is damaged. This can save money as well as the space in our storage room.

® After cleaning thoroughly we can reuse food containers.

® Rather than throwing things away, (old things and food that is left out )it could be donated to the poor.

® Make new things from the things in trash.

® Glass bottles could be reused by storing nails and screws in it.

® Use the both sides of a paper for printing. OR use the unwanted papers for writing the list of grovery items , notes etc.

    3. RECYCLE :

Recycling is an energy consuming process in which the item is turned into raw material that can be used again. It reduces the waste disposal as it transforms the used materials like plastic, glass and paper into new material. Also recycling plays an important part in sustainable living for decades. In UK, recycling is a very expensive process. Examples of recycled materials include fibreglass from glass bottles , insulation materials from newspaper or plastic bottles.

Here are some benefits of recycling :

✓ Reduces the amount of waste

           ✓ Conservation of natural resources

✓ Increases economic security by tapping a domestic source of material.

           ✓ Prevents pollution .

✓ Helps to create job opportunities in manufacturing and recycling industries.

           ✓ Saves energy.

Some methods of recycling in our daily life :

           • Kitchen and garden waste  can be recycled by making your own compost. Compost has great use in garden as it contains nutrients essential for the growth of plants.

           • Old newspapers , magazines , notebooks etc are recycled to new paper or cardboard.

           • Food cans made of steel could be melted and moulded into new cans.

           • Drink cans which are usually thin and light is made of aluminium could be easily recycled.

           • Waste wood is turned to new wood products.

           • Glass is very easy to recycle . Waste bottles and jars are melted and used again and again.

           • Waste vegetable oil could be recycled to a useful vehicle fuel called biodiesel.

           • Plastics are hard to recycle. Plastics can be recycled into more durable products like flower pots and plastic pipe. Another solution is the use of bioplastics which are environment friendly.

So the 3 R’s ( Reduce, Reuse , and Recycle)  are a way of life , we must understand that it is our duty to take good care of our planet that depends on our deeds. It is not someone else’s issue , it is the responsibility of the person you see at mirror every morning.

You CAN make a difference!!!

A Reunion : bringing back people to nature…

By Vismaya Vinod and Greeshma

Image Copyright : Pexels Stock Photos

As humans we had always enjoyed being in the lap of our mother nature. There won’t be anyone who didn’t enjoyed this care and love of nature at least for once. But then why do we always  harm nature? When man goes behind materialistic things they simply forget  nature for their  selfish pleasures. They are not using nature but they are exploiting  nature. They overuse nature for their needs. Wordsworth once quoted “For this, for everything, we are out of tune”. It’s true, now we are out of tune with nature. We are no more in harmony with nature and we cannot understand the language of nature anymore. If the situation continue like this, then it will be difficult for us to survive. So it is the need of the hour to have a reunion with nature.

Now there is a gap between nature and humans. We need to fill that gap. As human beings play a vital role in the balance of this nature, we are the ones who should take the responsibility to conserve and protect nature. For that we must have a reunion. The best method to inculcate a feeling of love and gratitude for nature is to bring awareness to people about the importance of nature. Ancient people had a greater concern for nature than the modern men. They workshipped the earthly ideals like trees, rocks, river etc and thereby protected nature. This attitude has changed and if we compare those old days with the present condition, one could feel a big gap.

Many may consider technology as the prime factor for this gap. Technology will not isolate us from nature. Together with technology and nature’s ideals, one must practice a good relation with nature. An active youth can only unite humanity and nature. For that we must be ready to make some adjustments in life. We have to become close to nature. It’s quite alarming that the present condition of nature is very pathetic. We are the main reason for this cause. Try to protect her rather than exploiting her. We must remember one thing; If nature can provide us with home, she can also make us homeless…..

Think twice before you do; You don’t have a second chance!!!

Save nature!  Respect her! Protect her!!!
